BALANCED BUDGET
The Democrat majority spent all of the $17.6 billion dollar budget surplus as forecasted in January 2023.
Total tax increase for the next 4 years are over $8 billion.
The 2-year state budget is increasing 32.7% from $52 billion to $69 billion. (Is your family budget increasing 32.7 percent?)
Senior Citizens STILL will have to pay state taxes on their Social Security.
COMMON SENSE ENVIRONMENTAL AND ENERGY POLICY
Republican leadership has proposed an “A+” plan in promoting common sense energy initiatives. I support the following proposals and the strategies:
Allowing nuclear construction in the state
Affordable renewable natural gas to continue to reduce emissions
Always On natural gas and coal for reliability and affordability
Authorize hydroelectric power to count as a renewable energy
All-of-the-Above strategy to mix solar, wind, hydroelectric, hydrogen, and biomass with our current energy sources
